Let's be honest: we've probably all thought about opening an Etsy shop at some point. What might sound like a crazy idea was the foundation of Herbivore Botanicals for Julia Wills and Alexander Kummerow. The two founders started their natural skincare brand in their home kitchen in Seattle and began selling their products through an Etsy store in 2011.

The quality of their clean beauty products spoke for itself. Less than two years later, they launched their own e-commerce store, and shortly afterward, beauty giant Sephora added the Wills and Kummerow brand to its assortment. If that's not a success story, we don't know what is.
