Velvet Iris – Eau de Parfum – 100ml

Wandering through Paris, you notice a narrow passage set right into the facade, almost hidden. At the end, it opens onto a small courtyard full of climbing vines, delicately tied bouquets and scattered petals. A pastel bicycle leans against the wall, and in the middle stands an old cast-iron bistro table with two matching chairs. On it, a vase of beautiful, freshly cut iris. Across the courtyard, opposite the flower shop, is a leather workshop, its window lined with bags and fine leather goods. Warm, slightly woody and leathery notes drift out of the door, propped open with a brass doorstop, and blend with the flowers into one heady scent. For a moment, you forget you're in the middle of Paris.

Velvet Iris opens herbal and slightly bitter: buchu, pink pepper and turmeric leaf bring a green, almost minty freshness, like leaves crushed between your fingers. In the heart, the iris comes through, powdery and a little earthy, while galbanum and mastic give it a resinous edge. Creamy sandalwood, warm labdanum and soft leather round everything out and stay on the skin for hours. A powdery, woody scent that brings to mind iris blooms on a bistro table and the smell of new leather bags.
