Early morning in Calabria, all the way down at the southern tip of Italy. The sun is already up, but most people are still asleep. Apart from the hum of a car passing by now and then, all you hear is the Mediterranean surf. A light breeze runs through your hair and white linen clothes. It drifts in from the groves behind the village where the bergamot trees grow, carrying their scent down to the salty water. One deep breath, invigorating, fresh and grounding at the same time, before the day slowly comes to life.
It opens with Calabrian bergamot, juicy and a little tart, almost freshly squeezed. Jasmine and ylang-ylang soon join in and make the scent more floral and slightly creamy without weighing it down. The bergamot stays noticeable the whole way through. Cedarwood and a touch of tonka bean round everything off in the base, more dry and clean than sweet. A bright, easygoing scent that brings back those mornings on the coast, when the air is still cool and smells of salt.

Is there a sample available for every fragrance?
Yes – we offer a sample of every fragrance in our range, as long as it’s not sold out. If you’d like to explore a whole brand, our Discovery Sets usually bring together some of its most important fragrances in one set.
Is the fragrance in the sample the same as in the original bottle?
Our fragrance samples are decants of 100% original perfumes. Each fragrance is carefully filled directly from the brand’s original bottle into a convenient spray vial. So you’re testing the exact same fragrance you’ll find in the full-size bottle.
How many ml are in each sample?
Each sample you order from us contains at least 1.5ml of fragrance. The glass vial itself holds 3ml, which is why it won’t be filled all the way to the top. So no worries – your 1.5ml are definitely in there.
Why are my fragrance samples filled to different levels?
Since we fill every sample by hand, the fill level may vary slightly from one vial to another. From time to time, we also include a complimentary fragrance sample with your order. These are meant as a little extra to discover something new and therefore contain slightly less than our regular 1.5 mlsamples.
Are the fragrance name and ingredients listed on the sample?
The fragrance name and brand are listed on every sample. If you’d like to learn more about the ingredients, you can find them on the relevant product page in our online shop or on your invoice.
